Essentially, Trump is paying himself to pardon himself. The corruption never ends.

(24,246 posts)Bribery is indeed both a crime and an impeachable offence, but Trump could take money and pardon someone, and that pardon cannot be questioned or reversed.
He could even be convicted of bribery and imprisoned, and the pardon would still stand.

(24,246 posts)Its the founding fathers, who didnt foresee the possibility that a cowardly partisan Congress would refuse to remove such a corrupt president, and so they gave the president broad, unlimited pardon power for federal crimes.
The Roberts courts immunity ruling wouldnt protect Trump from prison for taking bribes for pardons if he could be convicted.
