How Trump gets away with his BS.

First, the myth of a Unitary Executive. Not only ignoring but decrying the constitutional Separation of Powers.

Next: Overriding the Will of the People by controlling a majority of their representatives and lambasting his adversaries in government and the media.

Next: Overriding the Constitution and centuries of legal precedence with his handpicked SCOTUS justices. For decades, Republicans called this judicial activism. But when Trump does it, it's "correcting past mistakes".

Next: When speaking on the Record, he lies. Prevaricates. Employs outrageous mendacity. And says it with all sincerity. And doesn't put up the evidence for his claims.

Next: Also relies on Logical Fallacies. These are the devices used when one is going to lose a logical argument. The fallacies detract and dismiss the premise(s) altogether as well as the strong argument being built to support those suppositions. Claims become facts. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fallacies
And he relies on MAGA and the "uneducated" being unable to tell the difference between facts and fallacies. Example: if Trumps says it, it must be true. He is the undenied authority. They don't have to think; they only have to believe.

And then there's FOX, that bolsters these "strategies" by echoing Trump's raison d'être.

because a timid Attorney General waited way too long to hold him accountable ,

For Fuck's Sake, Garland waited 11 months before the FBI got a search warrant for the stolen documents in the Mar-a-Lago shitter.

Box after box of classified documents, some so secret that only a handful of people were authorized to see them.

ps/ don't give me that BS that Cannon saved his ass, it would have been a different time line so there would be no guarantee that Cannon gets the case if it had been done timely.

You don't fucking ask Krasnov to please return the stolen documents and then negotiate for 11 months. It took 4 days for the FBI to search Joe Biden's properties.

Instead of nominating Attorney Generals that need approval of Congressional Magats, how about appointing the AG you want and make him Acting AG? When his/her term is up appoint another Acting AG.

He is fucking stealing billions of taxpayer dollars for himself. All of these projects, his theft of Venezuelan oil, is what Krasnov is the best at, laundering money into his own pocket. He wants to take the frozen Iranian money now for his personal use and no one will stop him.

4. I will add two more historical events to Garland's fuckery or incompetence (choose one). Gerald Ford's pardon of Nixon.

intelligence and could lead the Iraq government when Saddam was removed. He was an opportunist.

The question is, how much of his bullshit was believed by the C.I.A. or how much was used to support Cheney and Bush's hunger to invade Iraq.

By which I mean not just the formal GOP but all the conservative-aligned foundations, think-tanks, media organizations, publishers, pundits, influencers, and so on.

There is no way in hell that the Founders would approve a"unitary executive" after fighting a revolution to overthrow one. Not only does this make much of the GOP illegitimate, it also makes illegitimate the majority of the Supreme Court.

...we just didn't know it would turn out that the agenda would explicitly include okaying a fascist takeover to impose single-party rule.
