What more do you need to know?
You want a 10-Point Plan to fix America?
He sued the IRS. He wants $10 billion dollars of your tax money. You OK with that?
He wants $1.766 billion to pay off the Proud Boys and the criminals that attacked your Capitol on January 6th, 2021. Did you see that peaceful protest?
He wants a billion dollars to build a gold-plated ballroom next to the White House, after he tore down the entire East Wing of the White House. Do you like that idea? Are you awake?
He paid one of his "friends" to fix the Reflection Pool and it has turned into a disaster. Above all else, he is incompetent.
He wants to build a huge Arc at the entrance to Arlington Cemetery? Even the dead cannot rest in peace.
Open your eyes America. The Liar-in-Chief is making more money than he has ever made in his life, since he has been in the White House. He is a liar. He is a grifter. He is a thief. He is a criminal.
He is a crook.

(1,492 posts)that their Medicaid funded clinics are still going to be there because they think he'll take care if "his" people. The J6 slush fund was probably going to give a little money to some key oaf creepers and proud jerks and then Trump probably would have found ways to embezzle the rest of it.

(1,997 posts)All I can say. We could've had an ex-prosecutor, a Vice President who knew how to run the government, but instead FoxNews told everyone to voite for Jabba The Hut!
And instead of fact-checking, instead of checking his record, they did!

Trump went silent on that nonsense soon thereafter....
(Perhaps it was all melted down for one of his Mar-a-lago bathrooms.)
Seriously, though: Add to the grifter crimes enumerated above his crypto scams.

with two "girls for Trump," according to the bumper stickers on their cars, anyway. They're the widows of two of my closest friends from "the old days."
They sat across from me, ranting and raving about "illegals" and "solar farms".
But they love The Donald.
I just kept my mouth shut, drank my coffee (not with my mouth shut). My phone rang about 5 minutes later. I looked at the screen and it said 'Potential Spam,' so I told them "I gotta take this," and walked to the cashier's desk. I went back, threw some money on the table and said, "I gotta go."
I'll never ask them to breakfast again. I have no patience for that garbage anymore.
Addendum: They're both "born again" christians now too. I'm beginning to think my two old pals died because they wanted to.

(3,305 posts)As horrible as he is, the main disease affecting this country is in the malfunctioning minds and cruel hearts of those who voted for this monster, and still support him.
I think that the whole R party is in it for the greedy chance to stuff their bank accounts and destroy our democracy and replace it with a theocratic dictatorship with them permanently in charge.
The one silver lining is that the gaping holes and weaknesses in our legal system to prevent this kind of take over have been glaringly exposed.
I think that trying to persuade MAGAotry to see the error of their ways is a complete waste of time and energy.
We need to get the non-voters to go to the polls and vote every single Republican OUT! Every last one. The R's own this. They've been plotting since Nixon. They are not going to stop the looting of our treasury nor the destruction of the policies and programs that actually help We The People.

(116,111 posts)And they will need to be fixed. Where do you start? With the Attorney General that is cognitive of the reality of the situation? And build a Task Force from there? And some people would be indicted and have to stand trial? Some might go to jail? Is that where we start?

(3,305 posts)I think prosecuting as many of the criminals in this maladministration could be a good beginning. A big contributing factor that helped get us into the fix we are in now was not prosecuting Nixon and Agnew to the full extent of the law. They were allowed to resign and the only consequences were some public shaming and not being able to run for office again. That sent the wrong message and emboldened Republicans to do what they are doing in the present day.
Citizens United needs to be overturned. Candidates must be required to release their tax information. Congress needs to be barred from trading stocks or legislating about businesses that they or their families hold.
Voting rights need to be strengthened and election days should be paid public holidays.
These are just starter ideas. There's so much damage that will need to be fixed. One of the biggest issues is that corruption in government must be firmly quashed, and our tax system must be overhauled and returned to the system of the 1950's, when the wealthy paid their fair share.
Right now, we need to keep our eyes on the prize: taking back the House, at the least, and the Senate if we can manage it.
