Jack Smith Just Told America The Quiet Part Out Loud: "Buckle The F Up"

Once again, Dean Blundell lays it out for us. The man Trump wants to jail sat down on live TV and calmly explained that the rule of law in America is being dismantled in real time — and that we haven’t seen anything yet.

"Democracy doesn’t run on autopilot. It runs on people inside institutions choosing, every day, to follow the law instead of a man. Those people are being hunted, and the hunting is the point.

The system that stopped the last coup attempt has been gutted, and the people who attempted it have learned from their mistakes.

And it’s going to get worse before it gets better — unless ordinary Americans, state officials, and the courts decide the rule of law is worth fighting for."

It’s up to ordinary people, from all walks of life, to do the right thing in the name of saving democracy and the rule of law.

Some really feel that some amorphous entity will magically appear and make it all better.

The irony is that there are some who want to say I am an idealist and not being realistic.

That is pretty funny coming from a society that has its some of its own citizens calling for a foreign invasion to 'save' them.

(Which has happened a few times.)

Ain't nobody comin'. Now what?

And if he doesn't?
Meh. Same difference, except he put himself there for free, and saved the rest of us the headache of paying for his prosecution.

But yes, jack is correct buckle up and happy birthday, America.

Far too many aren't paying attention to what's happening, are clueless, &/or have allowed themselves to be brainwashed by right-wing propaganda & Trump's lies.

That's a major threat to our country.

Name every Republican in the House and Senate who would certify a Democrat having won the presidency if Trump claims it was rigged in 2028. Would the Supreme Court step in to stop Republicans from stealing the election if they still controlled Congress? Which Republicans or conservative S.C. justices would stop Trump from running for a third term? They might if he is unpopular enough. But who do you trust still has the principles to uphold the rule of law against MAGA? I don't trust Vance to do what Pence did.

Democrats and independents all need to be on our toes from now until 2028. We need to stay focused on what's really happening. Jack Smith sees it happening from the outside, but he's getting good info from loyal (and scared) DoJ employees.

ATLANTA (AP) — The FBI has asked its field offices across the country to dedicate more than 200 staffers to its investigation of the 2020 election in Georgia’s Fulton County.

A memo obtained Thursday by The Associated Press calls for the FBI to “surge” 260 investigative analysts and staff operations specialists to the effort, which it described as a “priority investigation.”

He may "think" that keeping the 2020 "steal" alive and in the news will lend more credibility to his 2026 and 2028 "steals".

The team at MS NOW’s “The Weekend” was sent into ‘delirious’ laughter Sunday morning after the network played a video montage of President Donald Trump touting his administration’s “fair” system of justice and supposed end to political prosecutions.

The montage was queued to provide context on a recent interview of former special counsel Jack Smith, who revealed the steps he took to prepare for potential prosecution by the Trump administration in retaliation for his investigation.

“Never again will the immense power of the state be weaponized to persecute political opponents,” Trump can be heard saying in the video montage. “My administration has acted swiftly and decisively to restore fair, equal and impartial justice under the constitutional rule of law.”

As the clip montage concluded, a smirking Jonathan Capehart struggled when trying to cite the countless examples of the Trump administration targeting the president’s political opponents with investigations and prosecutions.

“Perhaps on Earth 2 that is what Trump did, for those living here on Earth 1…” Capehart said before bursting into a wheezing laugh. “We've seen the exact opposite as his own personal law firm going after his perceived enemies while rewarding his allies!”

Capehart continued to laugh before apologizing and conceding that the outburst may land him and his MS NOW colleague “totally in trouble.”
