Some anecdotal good news, perhaps? We took our grandson to the Hendersonville NC 4th of July parade this AM.

Very small town - lots of fire engines, tractors, a few floats of a sort, just what one would expect of a town of 15K people.

What I expected to see - some MAGA hats, MAGA wear, some republican "floats" that got lots of cheers.

What we saw - not a single T#(%p or MAGA item. Only Democratic candidates cars/floats, including the Democratic Party of this area. Those people/floats/cars got loud applause.

Could this be a tiny indication that the tide indeed is turning?

BTW - Hendersonville is on the red side of purple - about 20 minutes away from true blue Asheville. But Chuckie Edwards has an office downtown that the parade went by. It is bluing up because of a burgeoning art scene, diverse restaurants, lots of music. But it has its share of cars with confederate flags driving around too. It is an interesting, delightful place to live, for sure.

But our neighbors took down their (can’t/won’t use its name) sign!!! It may have been stolen so we won’t know unless they replace it but there is a small glimmer of hope over here. Thanks for lifting my spirits as I have no desire to “celebrate” anything today.

of Atlanta. I didn't see any maga junk among the trucks, tractors, etc. It was great to see how many vehicles and people wearing RWB and carrying flags.

of people across the country reporting on vanishing maga eyesores. House flags, caps, bumper stickers, you name it - disappearing.

I love all this reporting and hope people keep posting about it. Bonus that Democrats are flooding the parade zone.

It's about 2000' elevation, and not far from beautiful waterfalls & mountains. I've vacationed in that area for hiking many times over the years, even though it's a long drive from my home in Chicagoland.

However, my plans are usually pretty tight -- hiking & camping, sometimes backpacking. If it's a whole week I'll grab a hotel for a night, with some extra time.

I know the conductor and several of the musicians. Also a large community band that I know less about, but I hear it's quite good.

Which is low for Tennessee overall.

While not exactly a swing district, I certainly view any report of muted MAGA exhibitionism as a welcome bellwether!

I think he’s favored to win that senate seat.

I was expecting to see some MAGA hats in my suburb’s little parade today. Nope none in sight. Just people out to have a good time.
