My World Cup confusion

I’ve watched a bunch of games, enjoying it big time. Funny thing is if I come to the game in progressi often don’t know which team is which. I watc for a while and eventually the commentators patter reveals which color jerseys the various teams are wearing. And then I know who’s who

Question: Why don’t the on screen graphics, which are limited to team names, score, and time remaining, don’t indicate team colors? Is this’ futbol’s’ way of telling me that I’m not a cool kid?

Look closely and you will see a circle right next to the country's name with the respective team's colors.

Are you watching it on Fox? I watch some highlights only as I don't support one of the most corrupt organizations in the world (fifa) paving an easy path for their current golden boy to win it all (messi).

I guess fox doesn't have the circles like Spanish language broadcasters do.

"paving an easy path for their current golden boy to win it all (messi)..."

The dude is 39 years old. And carrying a kind of mediocre team.

What paving? That they played Cabo Verde yesterday? Well, Cabo Verde took them to the wire.

Is it Messi's fault that they were playing Cabo Verde? No. Cabo Verde had every right to be there because Spain, Uruguay, and Saudi Arabia could not beat them.

Was Cabo Verde not supposed to be at the World Cup? No. They eliminated Cameroon. Legit team.

Look at the easy bracket. Watch the videos of Infantino getting all bummed when Cabo Verde scored the 2-2 and his comments after the match. lol The fouls that didn't get called against argentina. They robbed Cabo Verde.
Look at the amount of penalties the argies have received since 2022. No other country even comes close. Look at the amount of cheap fouls that messi gets from someone breathing too close to him. Look at the amount of fouls they don't call against the argies.

Top players and players have noticed and commented about it on camera and social media. Have a feeling you have a messi jersey don't you? Going on ignore. Bye. lol.

Don't own a Messi jersey.

Just like to call bullshit when I see it.

Easy bracket and they were almost eliminated by Cabo Verde? That makes a lot of sense. Sweden was such a harder test for the French, I suppose.

Oh, Infantino was upset... Of course, he cares about money. If France, Brazil, England get kicked out early he wouldn't be happy either. I am sure he was ecstatic that Germany and the Dutch were eliminated.

My Spanish is limited but I love the enthusiasm. I’ll see if I can find it on one of my overly expensive streaming services.

There are plenty of online streams including from the UK. But that could be inconvenient for most given you would have to find an HD stream and then connect the pc or laptop to the TV.

So if you look around the area around the country's name, that color directly underneath their respective names, it will match the primary color of that country's team uniform.

Thanks for the info.

Now that we are getting down to Countries that are more recognizable and well known in the sport I should be able to quickly figure it out, but damn during the group stage it took me a couple of minutes to figure out which team was which.

blue flags (or maybe two of those colors) France and Paraguay? Hard to say if you just jump on the broadcast.

If you can catch the beginning one will be in a light uniform one in a dark.

Yeah not easy.

...there is usually a black rectangle that will have the 3 letters abbreviation for the countries playing, and under the abbreviation you should see a thin line in the color of the jersey each team is wearing.

It's subtle, but it is there
