Or is there an enormous amount of effort being spent on smearing Platner?
There is an unusual amount of interest against Progressives.
And a low interest in supporting Talarico in Texas.

(1,303 posts)Is why so many women do not report domestic violence and rape. No matter how many women come forward or how much documentation was done at the time of the assault.
From what I read he was blackout drunk so probably has very little memory of what happened. Seems he has a history of alcohol abuse.
Sadly we still have a long way to go in regards to believing women and combating violence and abuse

(21,206 posts)When that evil Russian owned hag was accusing Joe Biden of assaulting her and many on this forum bought her story entirely and were falling all over themselves to run him out of the race. I remember that well. But unlike in that case with the evil Putin hag who re located to Russia after the election, Platners accusers, particularly this one, are infinitely more credible. I suspect he did what she said he did and needs to stand down asap.

Yet they never get behind a southern progressive.

(21,394 posts)when they asked him if there were any more damaging stories that could come out?
Graham Platner, Maines presumptive Democratic nominee for US Senate, was asked in a closed-door meeting of Senate Democrats this week if any more allegations against him could emerge, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal.
The meeting, which took place in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, followed reports over the weekend that Platners wife had told a campaign aide shortly into him launching his Senate bid that she discovered sexually explicit texts with several women on his phone months earlier. The report added to the list of scandals clouding Platners freshman campaign against veteran GOP Senator Susan Collins.
According to the Journals report, published Wednesday, Planter was pressed during the meeting by two of his New England allies, senators Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts. Sanders asked Platner if any additional allegations could emerge against him. Warren followed Sanders question by saying there is a difference between marital issues and allegations of sexual assault.

This is politics of destruction. Seriously, when was the last campaign that was about differences on policies?
Eric Swalwell, a liberal, was taken down by the same type of allegations
