is politicians choosing their voters not voters choosing their elected representatives. You like that one, right?

Because I was thinking that if someone were a violent right wing anti-government extremist, they would also love it if our government "knew nothing about" them.

The second match was from a right wing Canadian account on X.

Many politicians seem to have forgotten that they work for us. Taxpayers pay their salaries. Instead, many of them portray a sense of entitlement and act like they are lords of society. They are too good for common folks.

It seems that some get really pissed off when someone post a... *gasp*... meme.

Because... well, I am not sure why, actually. I guess they don't like images with their texts or something.

The irony is that your post has nothing but text on it. I still expect someone to complain about it.

(I happen to like this meme and will put it in the collection to have for a later discussion. Thanks, applegrove!)

I was not saying that 'most people here' don't like them.

I am saying that there are a few that don't like them. They confuse me, but they exist.

I guess you have not been reamed out for daring to post a meme on the DU, but I have.

And, I am not alone, I am sure.

Thus, my post.

I find that this is a little too binary.

We seem to have lost the idea of nuance as a nation in general.

We’ve become the sound bite society. It’s not good for democracy.

People need to get their attention span working again.
