Conservative political commentator Bill OReilly suggested Monday that Americans who are yowling about high prices should invest in the stock market to grow their capital.
OReilly, 76, lamented that not enough Americans are investing their money in the stock market, mutual funds, IRAs or other longer-term investments, pointing to a recent statistic from Gallup that says 40 percent have none of those investments.
My portfolio is doing great because Trump his policies appeal to the big companies, OReilly said on his show No Spin News
But 40 percent of Americans dont participate in capitalism and a lot of them are yowling about high prices. Cmon. Youve got 4 percent inflation here. Live in the real world. So you younger people, you gotta get into the stock market, he added.

(18,025 posts)just maybe Billy people dont invest in the stock market because they barely make enough money to pay their utility bills and buy food. Oh and they likely cant afford health insurance, you idiot.

(1,996 posts)$10/ month. Pay down any debt (besides your mortgage.) You also must spend less than you earn. Period, end of story.
I hate to break it to people but no one is coming to save you or fix it for you. Things might be done around the edges but thats about it. The asset class are the winners.
And you dont matter unless youre in the top 10-20% as you are not the consumer, as thats who keep the economy going.
Im sure Ill get flamed but its the truth.

(211 posts)of a tenet of Calvinism that came over with the Pilgrims and the Puritans. According to Calvin, wealth was a sign of God's favor and special blessing...hence the tendencies among We, the People to revere the millionaires and billionaires. We make celebrities out of them, keep a list of the "Most Blessed" and choose them as leaders with very mixed results. They inspire respect...even awe...and certainly varying degrees of envy and inspiration.
