So if McTurtle is having 20 minute conversations with people

Then why can’t he do a one minute live video to show that he is still alive AND CONSCIOUS?
I ain’t buying it. He could be a brain kept alive in a jar and the Repukes would claim he is out playing tennis.
It would, however, be ironic and fitting if he did a reverse Fetterman and woke up from his coma completely opposite what he is.

(with McConnell incapacitated it is just a 52-47 advantage instead of 53-47). Do you realize how insane that is? Democrats now need only 3 votes from Republicans to kill Blanche's nomination instead of 4. McConnell dying would trigger a special election to replace him and almost certainly give Republicans their 53rd vote back.

Not everything is a Republican conspiracy.

Republicans than a vacant seat or an incapacitated McConnell. Haaving a Democrat in that seat only really helps Democrats during votes where one or more Republicans are absent. Whether it's 52-47 or 52-48, Democrats still need 3 Republican votes in the senate to kill Republican legislation or nominees. Also, it would only be for a couple months at most anyway. The full-term election is already set for November.

Massie voted with Trump 98% of the time. Even if Massie became 100% anti-Trump, it would at most be minimally worse for Republicans than a vacant seat or an incapacitated McConnell. Having a Democrat in that seat only really helps Democrats during votes where one or more Republicans are absent. Whether it's 52-47 or 52-48, Democrats still need 3 Republican votes in the senate to kill Republican legislation or nominees. Also, it would only be for a couple months at most anyway. The full-term election is already set for November.

Besides, Massie couldn't even win his own district. Why would Republicans be afraid of him winning a statewide election? It's an insane conspiracy theory that makes zero sense.

He pissed Trump off by speaking out. Trump endorsed his primary opponent. They are afraid of Massie winning a special election because that would anger our mad king. If they hold out till the regular election they likely get a total Trump toadie for a Senator.

Passed in April 2024, House Bill 622 strips the governor of any appointment power. Instead, if a vacancy occurs, the governor must call a special election. The winner of that election will finish the rest of the term.

Maybe they do things different in their family but if my wife had a severe cardiac event that sent her to the hospital's ICU after being found unconscious, I would be with her night and day without question. Also, why did his daughter vanish herself on social media? I'm not saying that I know for sure that any of this necessarily proves anything, but it seems like there would be a quick and easy way to prove one way or another that Mitch is alive, dead, in a coma, etc. At the minimum, we deserve to know the truth about how our representatives are doing, if they're dead or alive, demented, etc., especially the people of Kentucky, who he represents.

Her story is odd, but it is hard to contest.

The entire story would be believable--some people actually do recover from having CPR administered and we do not know the extent of what was administered--if they would release a video or make a doctor available to talk about his condition.

Otherwise, we know things do not add up here.

It is to the Democrats' major advantage for McConnell to be incapacitated and not dead. With only 52 votes instead of 53, now only 3 Republicans need to vote with Democrats to kill any legislation or nominees. For example, Democrats now need only 3 Republicans to vote against Blanche as AG to kill his nomination. With McConnell present or another Republican elected in a special election taking his place, Democrats would need 4 Republican votes to kill Blanche's nomination.

This conspiracy theorizing is nonsense.. Democrats are much better off with McConnell alive and unable to vote.

The current situation is VERY BAD for Republicans and a GREAT SITUATION for Democrats. Democrats are the ones who should not want a special election. An incapacitated McConnell means Republicans have only 52 votes in the Senate instead of 53. With only 52 votes, now only 3 Republicans need to vote with Democrats to kill any legislation or nominees. For example, Democrats now need only 3 Republicans to vote against Blanche as AG to kill his nomination. With McConnell present or another Republican elected in a special election taking his place, Democrats would need 4 Republican votes to kill Blanche's nomination.

Even if a Democrat won a special election it would at most be minimally worse for Republicans than a vacant seat or an incapacitated McConnell. Having a Democrat in that seat only really helps Democrats during votes where one or more Republicans are absent. Whether it's 52-47 or 52-48, Democrats still need 3 Republican votes in the senate to kill Republican legislation or nominees. A special election which would almost certainly be won by a Republican, would give Republicans back that 53rd vote for several months.

Worst case for Republicans with Special election, Democrats win but it has no real effect on Senate votes. However, if a Republican wins a special election , they get their 53rd vote back which is extremely significant.

A 53rd Republican in the Senate is an enormous advantage for Republicans (4 Republicans would need to join Democrats to kill legislation or nominees instead of the current 3 with McConnell not present), while a 48th Democrat effectively doesn't help Democrats at all (Democrats would still need 3 Republican votes to kill legislation or nominees - just like now).

In my opinion, it’s a strategic move forward. Once in office, it’s then easier, as an incumbent, to be re-elected. In my opinion, Democrats should take every opportunity to put another Democrat in office, at any time, in any place, no exceptions.

Americans are fed up. A skilled candidate could easily build a successful campaign, even in Kentucky. A Democrat was able to get elected governor and Andy Beshear is not the Lone Ranger.

McConnell's term ends at the beginning of January. The candidates for the November election have already been determined - Andy Barr (R) vs Charles Booker (D) . As of now, Barr is considered to have a 99% likelihood of winning. Democrats are not winning that seat. Winning a special election would do absolutely nothing for Democrats.

https://www.racetothewh.com/senate/26#google_vignette

BTW, Kentucky last elected a Democratic Senator in 1992. On the other hand, Kentucky has had only 2 Republican Governors (both for a single term) in the past 55 years. A Democrat winning the Governership in Kentucky is routine, having happened in 12 of the last 14 elections. Republicans have won 10 straight Senate elections.

What if Mitch McConnell came out of the hospital "Woke"?

Can you imagine? A woke Mitch, a good person who cares about other people and good causes — and uses their abilities to do something about it?

Say Mitch came out of an induced coma…If he was woke, he would actually lead, from universal health care and free tuition for all to stopping the Fourth Reich and opposing Putin and taxing the world’s billionaires, there’d be a whole new nation and better planet.

The GOP wouldn’t know what to do. They certainly wouldn’t run against it.

McConnell is on life support. While he is still alive by mechanical means, his wife went to China, most likely to be out of the country so she cannot be reached to authorize turning off the ventilator.

The dirty shit dog republicans are not going to allow the Ky Governor any time to order a special election. By not allowing any Democrat to visit him, “ he can continue” to serve.

I think this will totally backfire on the shit dog republicans, because there will be an election, and a well placed democrat may just win the Ky seat.

Just my opinion….many are talking to McConnell, but his is not answering or even comprehending.
