Trump Mocked with a 10-Foot 'Iran War Participation Trophy' That Appeared on the National Mall

A large trophy mocking President Donald Trump’s handling of the ongoing conflict with Iran has been erected at the National Mall.

The 10-foot-tall statue, which was reportedly created by the satirical art group known as The Secret Handshake, featured a large gold trophy spray-painted with “#1” etched on it and “participant” printed below, according to The Washington Post and U.K. newspaper The Independent.

Under the trophy was a plaque that read, “We hereby award President Donald J. Trump this participation trophy for his enthusiastic involvement in the Iran War. While some concern themselves with military strategy, diplomacy, or measurable outcomes, President Trump demonstrated the courage to participate regardless of the final score,” the outlets noted.

“As the recipient of this prestigious award, President Trump joins the ranks of children everywhere who received recognition for simply showing up,” the plaque added, before being signed, “With honor, the Secret Handshake Prize Committee.”
