Alabama to get $335 million from BP criminal settlement

Best part, our Repub. gov't here will have no say in how this money is spent.
Seems to be pissing him off a bit too. All that pork miney cannot be touched by our Repugs.

"The money comes out of a $2.4 billion payment to the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, which said it will use the funds for environmental restoration across the Gulf Coast.

The NFWF identifies itself as one of the nation's largest non-profit organizations for wildlife conservation. The foundation, based in Washington, D.C., was chartered by Congress in 1984 and charged with protecting fish and wildlife in their habitats.

The agreement struck by the Justice Department gives the NFWF wide latitude to select environmental projects along the Gulf Coast. The plea deal directs the NFWF "to consult with appropriate state resource managers" to identify projects for funding."
