'Find me a Proud Boy' video leads to woman's arrest in Alabama for US Capitol riot
A California woman who was recorded on video at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, saying she wanted to find me a Proud Boy, was arrested on Friday in Huntsville, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
Stephanie Baez was among the crowd that stormed the Capitol building during a joint session of Congress to certify the vote count of the Electoral College of the 2020 presidential election, authorities say.
Baez was charged with knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority and violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, according to the Justice Department.
Baez appeared on Friday before U.S. Magistrate Judge Herman N. Johnson Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama, according to court records. Baez was released on $10,000 bond with special conditions. Her next court appearance is June 9.
