Alert the youngsters..maybe snow?

Last edited Sun Jan 26, 2014, 07:09 PM - Edit history (1)

I know the weather forecasts are getting to be more and more unreliable..
but Weather Underground says..maybe snow Tues.

tomorrow's predicted rain followed by that night's 28 low here in SW Ala. means icy roads and bridges.
somewhere in the predicted artic blast of Mon/Tues/wed there is a chance of the white stuff.
kids should be happy.
My cats won't be...they still insist on a quick run outside, with a faster return when they find summer is not where they left it.

is their first experience with snow. Every year, that first snow is met by disbelief followed by disgust and you can bet the cat blames us for it. Then they learn to cope. My cats used to dig tunnels, which would then collapse into cat runs with only their tails visible above the surface. Other cats just jump over it, the cat disappearing into it after every jump.

you have to go to bed wearing your pajamas inside out. That's what I always told my kids and it worked---once.

1998?
and 2010.
I DO remember it being freeezing cold for a week or more around 1988, when I was in Mobile.

14 inches at my parent's house in Clarke in one day. I remember cutting trees out of our driveway for months. It probably took two days, but I imagine I acted like I was dying the entire time. (I would've been about sixteen.)
