Related: About this forumHow can I be a poll watcher in Penn?
I have gotten a request for training for Ohio but since I live in NYC going to Philadelphia is much easier. In fact I did it in 2004. And with the voter ID law there I feel I will be helpful. Anyone know who's organizing poll watchers there? Thanks.

(33,539 posts)I'd be interested in knowing that or if I could volunteer to help the elderly, infirm, those who can't afford the bus fare to get to the polls. In NJ but went out to the Allentown area in 2008 and drove the elderly to the polls.

(6 posts)Just go! I know it may take a little more effort, but just imagine what it will be like if we don't get involved. I am looking for people to guest on my rsdio show. It is done by phone so you can be anywhere and just call in. We are running our of time! If you know any one, contact me!

(4,507 posts)I have a number of voter protection resources (I'm trying to get some things going related to voter protection myself, and have been contacting voter protection groups).

(4,187 posts)Enter your address and other information to find the neighborhood team near you. You can ask the leader of the team about being a poll watcher. I'm sure they're already organizing trips to PA, as well as other activities such as phone banking to get volunteers for the GOTV effort.
I've been volunteering for a week and a half now in NJ. We call known Obama supporters in NJ to get volunteers, and we drive to PA on weekends to knock on doors to talk to undecided voters. PA will be very important in the election, so anything you can do will be greatly appreciated.
