New "Milestones" feature on the Latest Threads page

We have just added a cool upgrade to the Latest Threads page, which we call "Milestones."

Whenever a discussion thread receives a certain number of posts -- 25, 50, 75, 100, or any other multiple of 25 -- it is re-posted at the top of the Latest Threads page so more people can see it.

The Milestone threads are marked with a blue arrow so you can easily identify them.

Check it out: http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=latest_threads

If you don't wish to see Milestone threads

If you don't wish to see these Milestones on the Latest Threads page, then you can set your filter so they do not appear. In the black bar near the top of the page, the last drop-down menu sets your preference for Milestones. To remove the Milestones, select "No Milestones" and then click "Go!" to save.

Don't forget your Trash Can

If you get sick of seeing a particular thread get re-posted over and over again on the Latest Threads page, just click the little X icon to Trash it. The icon looks like this:

And if you get sick of seeing threads from a particular forum or group appearing on your Latest Threads page, you can put that forum or group in your Trash Can. Enter the forum or group, and then click the button that says "Trash this forum" or "Trash this group."

This is neat, but I'd suggest dropping a few of the multiples, especially over 100 petronius Jun 2012 #15

I thought this was going to be about something like a memorial page - for DUer's milestones - like 100,000 posts or getting published, or losses due to deaths.

not saying this is bad, just my mistake is all

And the options to disable, etc. are there for those who don't like the feature.

But people who like to bump threads to keep those wounds open, will like it.

I don't think it is fair to the OP, and I always like to see who posted an OP before I decide to open it or not.

I would expect that the blue arrow would be enough to let us know it was not a "new" thread.

It just seems like fast-moving flamethreads have the potential to push newer stuff off the page too quickly, and by the time it hits 100 it will already have passed through Latest four times (at 0, 25, 50, 75). Maybe something like 25, 75, 125, and no more?

Where is this black bar at the top of the screen or the aforementioned drop downs? I just don't see either.

EDIT: I Found IT!

Down a little bit you will see a black bar with dropdown options. The one on the right is milestones.
