Shortly after Trump started his campaign event in Pennsylvania in the 6 p.m. ET hour, Secret Service agents rushed onto the stage after loud pops were heard. Trump, who had ducked behind the lectern when the popping sounds began, was seen with what appeared to be blood on the side of his head and face and was escorted away. A Trump spokesperson said the former president is "fine" and "is being checked out at a local medical facility." The Secret Service said Trump is "safe" and it was actively investigating the incident.
President Biden was in Delaware attending church when the incident occurred. Biden was receiving an updated briefing from Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and Homeland Security Advisor Liz Sherwood-Randall.

I'm praying for him and his family and for all those who were at the rally, as we await further information." He continued, "Jill and I are grateful to the Secret Service for getting him to safety. (23,312 posts)We are all grateful, Mr President. No secondary infections, no delays, he needs to get right back up on that swayback old nag and face the music for Project 2025.

It looked like Chump only got hit on the tip of his ear. There wasn't even much blood but he played it up for the cameras. Fists in the air, defiant stance for the crowd. Of course by then the shooter was already dead.
It almost seems like the shooter deliberately missed him. Did anyone else notice that?
I sincerely hope the shooter is not from Pittsburgh and is not a Democrat.

(140,915 posts)from other photographers who were down at ground level to the side of the stage taking a billion pics and it looked like it may have skimmed across the edge of the ear and possibly the cheek because it looked "scraped" (like the bullet whizzed by along the face).
There were a pile of shots fired and it was apparently done from "outside the perimeter" and "high up".
I expect it is what DHS always labels them - a "lone wolf".

The former president baselessly called Californias election rigged and said he wants to liberate the state from communist rule, later saying organized retail thefts in the state could be addressed by shooting looters as they leave stores.
The former president also said hed direct a completely overhauled Justice Department to investigate every radical district attorney and attorney general for their racist and reverse enforcement of the law.
Trump, referring to his recent indictments, mocked President Joe Biden, saying, Lets indict the mother******, suggesting the president uses indictments as a means of destroying the credibility of those he doesnt like or those polling higher than him, even though his federal charges were brought by an independent prosecutor.

(4,225 posts)If this was real, and not stage craft, then it needs to be brought out in truth who the shooter was, as well as his media pages.
And I daresay, take guns away from men. If there has to be guns out there, let them be wielded by women. We seem to be far less willing to shoot them.

(6,174 posts)I beg to differ.
In a country where guns are plentiful and often seen as the 'Solution' to a 'Problem', America is the perfect place for this sort of thing.
But yeah, head in the sand, Second Amendment and all that. I guess gun & ammo sales will go up now?
Now watch the Trump clan pump this incident for all the sympathy they can get.
Has already started . . .
Meanwhile, world leaders are doing their thoughts & prayers speeches.
