When various media began identifying the shooter as Thomas Matthew Crooks,, Roger Stone was very keen on claiming the shooter was someone other than Crooks (named Maxwell something).

Then the FBI confirmed that it was Crooks.

I'm hoping Stone already learned enough about Crooks to see the shooting as a negative for the Trump campaign. Such that Republican media attacks on Biden over this would backfire with independent voters.

We'll just have to wait and see as more details come out about the shooter's political views.

As this attempted assassination story develops, we have zero statements from a doctor nor the hospital where Trump was treated. Whether it is shrouded by SS or FBI we have yet to hear. Forgive my political cynicism but this has all the makings of a setup in order to create a political martyr. Surely a bullet through one's upper ear would merit at least an overnight stay in the hospital and not a "cloaked no info" release. Theatrics and props these days are quite sophisticated as is theatrical makeup. This is not over yet.

Also, I'm finding it hard to believe that Roger Stone even knows who this kid is.
