I suspect we will never know, but the intelligence required to perform such actions, from the pagers, to directly at the Hezbolah and Hamas leadership, had to come from within Lebanon and Iran I would think.

This took an extraordinary amount of planning, and the events of October 7 no doubt started the ball rolling.

For those who cheered the actions of what hamas did on October 7, such as some university professors, and certain activists groups, what did they think Israel would do after the October 7 attack?

There is no doubt that hamas and hezbollah were counting on a major retaliation from Israel, thinking it would unite the surrounding countries against Israel to "drive iit to the sea".

They grossly miscalculated, at the cost of thousands of Palestinian lives.
