JD Vance suffers latest campaign fail after being denied entry into restaurant

Source: The Independent

JD Vance suffered yet another embarrassing set back on the campaign trail, after being denied entry to a restaurant where he was supposed to speak – and being forced to address supporters in the parking lot instead. According to reports, after showing up to Primanti Bros in North Versailles, Pennsylvania, a restaurant worker told the press that cameras were not allowed and that they did not want a “campaign event.”

The restaurant was reportedly full of customers waiting to greet Vance, who canceled their food orders after learning he wasn’t welcome. Vance ended up glad-handing in the parking lot outside, according to NBC. “We paid for everyone’s food, we gave them a nice tip, and of course when I gave a nice tip I said ‘no taxes on tip,” Vance told those gathered. He added: “don’t hold it against [the restaurant worker] it’s a great local business, let’s keep on supporting it.”

The latest food-shop-related gaffe led to many online questioning those that make advance arrangements for the Republican vice presidential nominee, with one X user claiming he “ has the worst advance team in modern election history.”

Just last week he was roundly mocked online over a trip to the supermarket, also in Pennsylvania, where he bemoaned the steep cost of eggs, claiming that Harris’ economic policies had led to the price being $4. The problem? When footage of the visit emerged, Vance was quickly called out by viewers who spotted the price tag of a dozen eggs behind him was actually $2.99.

Refusing to be part of a shitshow won't cost them a freakin' dime in the long run. Go ahead and protest or boycott and slam the place morons! The guy will probably have to hire more help.

Vance was denied entry b/c he wanted to exploit the restaurant for his political purposes.

Wouldn’t you want someone who embraces and promises to work to lift up all people? Not just the ones whose race and gender they like? Who believe in rights for everyone? Who is intellectually curious and doesn't live in a bubble of extreme outdated opinions?

who is perpetually "in a state of outrage". I used to work with some. They had personal/family problems, financial problems, and often health problems, and really had no other way to work through that other than rant.

The GOP plays to these vulnerable people who actually need various types of counseling to help resolve their many unfortunate issues, but such is either not available to them or is refused by them.

So they end up embracing others who "rant" and excel at attacking others (which apparently results in a flood of endorphins making them "feel good" after they do it), and that is basically how the GOP sucks them in.

He never cleared it with restaurant management, just showed up with his circus, and expected to be let in to disrupt their business to stage a photo op

Hey, maybe Four Seasons Landscaping has room in their parking lot. Right next to the porn shop.

"...customers waiting to greet Vance, who canceled their food orders..."

or

"...“We paid for everyone’s food, we gave them a nice tip..."

Hopefully Primanti Brothers just won't bother to clarify which statement is the lie.

That appears to be their motto, which is a really stupid one for an advance team. Reminds me of when Paul Ryan made a show of washing pots and pans at a soup kitchen after they were already clean. This is not a trivial blunder. It's a test of how competent they would be at running the country. At least the restaurant staff didn't have to deal with awkward questioning, like "How long have you worked here?"

Only a matter of time before we see him with his mascara running and his hand down his pants as he tries to seduce a divan.
