"The bad guys won in WWII": Minnesota candidate is latest GOP member to espouse pro-Nazi view

Source: Salon

The Republicans can't help but hand it to Hitler lately. Royce White, a former NBA player and present-day conspiracist running for a U.S. Senate seat in Minnesota, claimed in a recently unearthed social media post that the “bad guys won” in World War Two.

“The bad guys won in WWII. There were no 'good guys' in that war,” White wrote in a post still live on X, referring to the American, British and Soviet troops who defeated Nazi forces and liberated millions from concentration camps. “The controlling interests had a jump ball.”

The remarks were resurfaced by Heartland Signal. White has been running to unseat Sen. Amy Klobuchar and the seemingly pro-Nazi tweets aren't tthe only controversial comments made he's made online.

In a post this week, White told a voter on the fence to “pull your skirt down,” prompting that voter to respond, “you just lost my families support.”

This is the loon running against Amy Klobuchar. No one better pull out some bogus "poll" that will claim that "the race is tightening".

support the Second World War because he was a pacifist. He never regretted it. He just didn't take sides. He sent a congratulatory telegram to Jeannette Rankin for being the only member in Congress to vote against the War Resolution.

And fast forward. Here's this guy who finds a way to say that the Allies shouldn't have defeated the Third Reich and the Axis. And he's allowed to go unscathed and not condemned wholesale.

My uncle was more of an American than this creep.

"If Germany had won the war," the pathetic Gen. Roberto Viola told Reagan in '81, "the Nuremberg trials would've been held in Virginia."

And Reagan still maintained his support for the Argentine Junta - until the '82 Falklands fiasco anyway.

He sounds like he's a perfect representative for today's Republican party.

On February 22, 2022, White announced he would run for the Republican nomination for the United States House of Representatives in Minnesota's 5th congressional district, a seat represented by Ilhan Omar.[100] His campaign was endorsed by former President Donald Trump's advisor, Steve Bannon, and he appeared on the radio show of Alex Jones

In 2023, White appeared on Steve Bannon's podcast and said: "Look, let's just be frank. Women have become too mouthy."[105] This comment was later circulated by the Kamala Harris presidential campaign.[106]

During 2023, White also used his Twitter account to call Nikki Haley a "cunt". [Note: that tweet is still up]

... watchdog group The Campaign Legal Center filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission, accusing White of misappropriating more than $157,000 in campaign funds for personal expenses.[119][121] In July, The Daily Beast published an article alleging that White spent donor funds from his 2022 congressional campaign in a strip club in Miami after his election loss.[121][124] The article also said that FEC filings from the 2022 campaign showed "more than $100,000 in outgoing wire transfers and checks with no stated recipient or purpose".[124] White's has denied any improper use of donor money, and reported reimbursing his campaign....

White has four children.[127][128] It has been reported by multiple outlets that White is over $100,000 in arrears on child-support payments for one of his children.

The best:

White's grandfather has distanced himself from White, stating: "There’s no way I can support my grandson supporting the GOP, and in essence, Trump

And this is just the stuff that is known about him.

If there are no good actors, that's hardly an endorsement of the German side.

From the few words I saw, sounds like his claim is that it was all a set-up so that corporate or the wealthy's interests were pursued. (Since Germany was corporatist at the time, that's not hardly likely ... Unless the CT-adjacent idea was the war was fought to squash fascist corporatism.)

18. Not Saying Race is Tightening, Only MAGA Lacks Comprehension Skills
Sun Oct 6, 2024, 02:39 PM

I am concerned that MAGA in MN will overlook both these facts:

1. That Royce White appears to have no consistency in accomplishing anything past his High School years,
and
2. That House Rep. Michelle Fischbach couldn't even get an endorsement from GOP, and has done absolutely nothing for voters or our country in her 2 years. Still, voters hugely turned out to vote for her in the Primary.

I just caution that voters should not be complacent in both these races. Fischbach's opponent, AJ Peters is so well-connected to the population in House District 7, and so close to the abilities and mindset of long-standing Democrat, Collin Peterson, that Peters has a great chance to take back a House seat.

But, it appears MAGA in Klobuchar's Senate District, and MAGA in Fischbach's House District appear to have absolutely no comprehension skills.
I am seeing a lot more Harris/Walz, Klobuchar signs, but also Trump/Vance signs right next to a lot of farmer's expensive John Deere equipment. I have not yet uncovered why/how farmers could still support Trump, with Trump's stated plans to implement a 200% tariff on John Deere, if JD moves some jobs to Mexico.

Because of this, I have confidence in Klobuchar/Harris/Peters to "reach" all voters, but I am concerned that MAGA are so far QAnon-brainwashed that they will not be applying reason, or logic to this 2024 General Election.
