Remember that a lot of these folks have relatives and friends in Gaza or the west bank. I think that this a matter of past overreactions from both parties leading to one sides overreaction leading to carnage which eventually leads to another act of carnage from the other side. Without a settlement for both peoples to live peacefully in their own lands it could go on forever.

Being willing to back the better but not perfect alternative is a step forward.

I'm the furthest thing from a Jill Stein supporter, I think She's a grifter and russian asset, but there's ample proof available that supports that opinion of mine, like the picture of her and other prominent republicans sitting at a dinner table with Putin.

Making claims about people with nothing to back those claims up though, brings up questions about the honesty of the person making those claims.

Most of them are not Palestinian, so they don't have relatives in Gaza.

Around here, most of them are Latino. A local Methodist pastor is a white dude.

I generally stay away from war related topics since I rarely have anything sensible to contribute (I don’t follow wars..a deliberate choice since instead I follow much neglected environmental issues most people ignore..one really only has so much mental energy) and so I try not to inflame passions beyond sympathy re suffering on all sides.
