New evidence unsealed of how Trump's Jan. 6, 2021 rally was funded

WASHINGTON – A trove of new records released in the federal election-interference case against former President Donald Trump described how money was spent on Trump's "Stop the Steal" rally near the White House on Jan. 6, 2021.

The revelations were among 1,900 pages of evidence for federal charges against Trump that he tried to steal the 2020 election. The evidence also includes details of how his supporters spent election night at the White House and how Trump reacted to the riot at the Capitol.

U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan is weighing the evidence to determine whether Trump is immune to federal charges, based on a Supreme Court ruling in July.

Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, opposed the release less than three weeks before the election as an example of prosecutors publishing “cherry-picked materials” that “would prejudice potential jurors and endanger potential witnesses” three weeks before the election. But Chutkan ruled that keeping the documents confidential could also be considered election interference.

for their bought and paid for MAGA controlled Supreme Court to toss any convictions. Of course it won't be correct legally, ethically etc. but these MAGA justices and ones before them like Scalia and Rehnquist aren't about whether anything is legally correct or ethical as we have all seen. If they want something they will pronounce it upon the people as the evil, obsessed prick Leonard Leo congratulates them.

Covered by the news shows including local evening news.Even this post didn't post any paragraphs having to do with the funding as the title implies. I will have to go to the link. So I wonder will there actually be any new info at the link? The media is failing us again and I am becoming fearful that all this failure and tricks ( flooding of polls with trump ahead bs to stymie the vote) will work.

On edit; the article does give amounts and names of otganizations.

so I expect the investigative journalists are combing through it to eventually do a big expose thing. The others might be scanning through the pages to find some unredacted other info that has more detail for stuff previously reported or speculated about.

it took awhile, but outlets like WaPo had some fancy HTML formatting, dynamic pages, and video montages to go with an in-depth narrative and walk-through for what happened - https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/interactive/2021/jan-6-insurrection-capitol/?itid=sf_national-security_jan-6-insurrection_pulitzer_p008_f001

I.e., there are some who will eventually "dive in" with the hope of getting a Pulitzer one day.
