Trump serves McDonald's fries to supporters in stage-managed campaign stop

Trump didn't answer a question on the minimum wage, instead promoting his unsubstantiated claim that Kamala Harris never worked at the burger chain.

FEASTERVILLE, Pa. -- Former president Donald Trump briefly manned the fry station during a stage-managed visit to a McDonald's franchise here on Sunday, but he dodged a question about increasing the minimum wage.

Wearing an apron, the Republican presidential nominee lifted fries out of the hot oil, shook them, salted them and placed them into containers for service. He praised the staff and the company, then popped his head out the drive-through window and waved at a crowd that had gathered across the street. He began to hand out paper bags to the cars that had been waiting in line before his arrival. One man said, "Trump 2024!" as he drove away.

The restaurant was closed to the public during Trump's visit, and the motorists whom Trump served were screened by the U.S. Secret Service and positioned before his arrival. No one ordered food. Instead, the attendees received whatever Trump gave them.

Trump was at the fry station for about five minutes and spent about 15 minutes at the drive-through window, much of it taking questions from reporters.

I agree it's a stunt and not news, but when someone wants to recall when Mayor McCheese put in an appearance at the Potemkinville McDonalds, there will be a record at DU of the incident.

I just puked a bit. I can't imagine anyone liking the idea of old StinkyPants touching their food. But the fact that he was in a McDonald's restaurant that flunked its last inspection has a solid ring of truth to it.

Trump thinking he is trolling The Vice President by making fun of her working
@ a McDonalds 40 + years ago is going to bring him any more votes? How
about comparing what she has done over the last 40 years to what you have
done Donny? For one she didn’t flunk out of college like you did.

And it is just torturing him. Fine by me because the more he suffers the more he lashes
out and the more bat crap crazy he looks and the more votes he loses.

Of course they did. They need an authority figure to make those tough decisions.

He would've been the old cranky guy spouting off about his life being unfair and he could've been somebody if not for:
democrats
women
immigrants
taxes
.... and the list would be the same list as it is today

Will the FEC look into an illegal campaign contribution for a staged campaign event using a well know retail operation as a backdrop? Will the corporate media cover it as the sham that it was? Or, will they praise the Convicted Felon as 'in touch' with 'the little people' aka us peons.
