A friend of mine lives in the same neighborhood as a Democratic politician, he knows her well, he has helped on her campaigns, etc. He was walking his dog, saw her and stopped to talk to her. Democrats are not voicing their choice of candidate, which is obviously Kamala Harris, one could say Democrats are in the political closet because most are being cautious of the violence from the MAGA crowd, and it is the same with many women, their husbands are MAGAts, they don't want conflict, but once they are in the voting booth they will cast their vote for Harris/Walz, she told him she knows a lot of women who have expressed that feeling to her in private.

Unfortunately, Reagan is also the one who really invited religion into the political sphere in a big way with Jerry Falwell’s "Moral Majority." It's been downhill since then. And it probably started earlier than that, but this is what has really stood out to me in my lifetime.
