One of the most remarkable images out of Spain yesterday is from this town in Aragón.
That's a lot of water, but the dam which was ordered built by the Emperor Augustus held firm, just as it has for the past 2000 years.

(73 posts)We made the reservation in February & we would be there from 10/28- 11/8, but in August decided to cancel our trip. We were wary about flying from California to Madrid (such a long way) since we are seniors & don't especially like to fly anyway. We haven't traveled since way before Covid & I tend to get pretty sick when I fly. So we cancelled our plans & bit the bullet on our $600 deposit.
I am very relieved to be home at this time.
