The people who want to control women’s bodies don’t just want them to not have abortions - they want them to not sleep with men they aren’t married to.

And, as you point out, the women they’re most likely to sleep with themselves aren’t the ones most likely to take this pledge? I’m not sure what imagined (except by them)

And it will not be a quick, easy, or pain free death.
It will be a form of torture.

In some states it is a crime to save the life of a dying pregnant woman.
Dying of sepsis can be agony to the point of torture.
If they survive, their option to have children in the future may be gone.

Women need to think about this carefully.
