Guardian will no longer post on Elon Musk's X from its official accounts

Source: The Guardian

Platform’s coverage of US election crystallised longstanding concerns about its content, says Guardian

The Guardian has announced it will no longer post content on Elon Musk’s social media platform, X, from its official accounts.

In an announcement to readers, the news organisation said it considered the benefits of being on the platform formerly called Twitter were now outweighed by the negatives, citing the “often disturbing content” found on it.

“We wanted to let readers know that we will no longer post on any official Guardian editorial accounts on the social media site X,” the Guardian said.

Pretty bad when we have to depend on other countries media to show some integrity.

Thanks for posting this good news.

They may end up being one of the only new sources we can trust. I think it's time for me to contribute to them so they can continue doing what they're doing.

I had deleted my account
But signed up again to try to combat the lies.

Eventually, they censured my posts so that only 1 or 2 people would read them.
It became pointless shadowboxing - couldn't land a punch anymore.
I went after Elon so I'm sure that was part of it.

The disinformation on X was organized, scripted and blasted daily.

It hard to combat FOX, OAN & Newsmax or right wing radio because you can't get on it.

Since there is no way to reach MAGA, I guess they're destined to learn the hard way.
