Mexico opens possibility of receiving non-Mexican deportees from Trump

Source: Associated Press

MEXICO CITY (AP) — Mexico opened the possibility Friday of receiving non-Mexican migrants deported by the United States after initially saying they would push President-elect Donald Trump to return other nationalities directly to their countries of origin.

President Claudia Sheinbaum said during her daily press briefing that in cases where the U.S. would not return migrants to their countries “we can collaborate through different mechanisms.” She did not offer details, but Mexico could limit it to certain nationalities or request compensation from the U.S. to move the deportees from Mexico to their home countries.

Trump has promised to begin massive deportations. Critics have observed that there will be logistical challenges to significantly ramping up from the already high deportation numbers.

The deportations would be immediately felt in northern Mexico’s border cities, which struggle with high levels of organized crime and where non-Mexican migrants would make easy targets for kidnapping and extortion.

Trump is going to allocate a huge sum of tax payer money for the deportations and Mexico wants
a cut of the loot.

that she is motivated primarily by the money that Trump might offer in exchange for taking in the migrants.

But, if the money is used for helping people get back to their home countries, then it might be necessary.

i don't need links, i've personally seen thousands of aliens at the local airport with fresh clothes and fresh airplane tickets over the past several years while the homeless population in my town grows by leaps and bounds from one week to the next.

Was it tattooed on their forehead? Were they not speaking English?

Who are "taking" care of these aliens at the expense of native homeless populations? Are you saying foreign workers shouldn't have fresh clothes and fresh plane tickets because there are homeless in our midst?

I agree we turn our backs on homeless people. But your view at the airport does not further your position (aliens are treated better than domestic poor). Repeating such unsubstantiated drivel doesn't help put forward solutions. However, it makes great wedges.

When they all have fresh immigration paperwork (easily seen by anyone in the terminals), they're all lined up together in groups, they're all being led around to where they need to go by folks with official placards and IDs and badges hanging around their necks, many of them are with their kids, babies, etc., and verified NGO busses are dropping them off outside by the hundreds at a time, its hard to miss. I'm in a border town and we saw this daily. Its impossible to miss the busses, they're everywhere, all coming from the clearly-visible processing centers, and heading straight to the airport or churches or NGO shelters. Not really rocket science to figure out what is going on.

Meanwhile America's homeless rot in the streets, starving, addicted, and victims of violence.

Its shameful.

Skilled and semi-skilled Carpet and Flooring industry workers are in demand in Mexico as it develops this .industry.
Mohawk, based in Calhoun Ga is planning on opening factory in Mexico.

This industry centered in NW Ga is heavily peopled by Mexican workers and their American-born descendants. Mexican immigrants have greatly enriched the 14th Congressional district but Marjorie seems to want to hide this fact

Wonder Why

Mexico will take the bribes and then push them right back across the US border in a revolving door of payola.
