'Will not follow an unconstitutional order': Dem governor vows to defy key Trump action

Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker is striking a defiant tone after President Donald Trump issued an executive order that purports to rescind birthright citizenship.

Politico reports that Pritzker slammed the Trump order rescinding birthright citizenship, which was established in the United States by the ratification of the 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution in 1868.

"That’s unconstitutional," Pritzker stated flatly. "We will not follow an unconstitutional order."

He also said that the order would simply cause unneeded legal disruptions while not accomplishing anything positive. "This is indicative of what you're going to see of the Trump administration for the next four years," he said. "It’s chaos."

Babies born to undocumented parents in red states will not. Their existence and rights will simply be ignored now.

It creates a permanent underclass which lends towards an unstable society. Other countries that don't have birthright citizenship have this problem.

last for the next 4 years.

When they media is being replaced with propaganda and the legal apparatus of the government is being politicized in a systematic way, I fear that it may be a challenge to restore what was.

I would like to see all of the blue states retaliate. Let Trump collect his revenues from Mississippi and West Virginia and the states that love him unconditionally.
