Trump: All hell is going to break out if Hamas doesn't release all hostages by Saturday

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday that the precarious cease-fire agreement between Israel and Hamas should be canceled if the terrorist group doesn't release all the remaining hostages it is holding in Gaza by midday on Saturday.

In comments to reporters as he signed a series of executive orders in the Oval Office, Trump said it was ultimately up to Israel. But he warned that "all hell is going to break out" if the remaining hostages aren't released, and added that he feared many were dead. Trump also said, however, "I'm speaking for myself. Israel can override it." He then suggested he might withhold U.S. aid to Jordan and Egypt if they refuse to accept Palestinian refugees displaced from Gaza.

The remarks come as Trump continues to push for a controversial plan to relocate Palestinians from Gaza, a proposal that has drawn widespread criticism from Arab leaders and international organizations.

Neither Jordan nor Egypt has signaled a willingness to absorb Palestinian refugees, and both nations have historically opposed any forced resettlement outside of Gaza.

They aren't going to comply, not because they're irrational, but because Trump attacking will help them. Hamas needs chaos. They need an outside enemy for everyone to rally against.

Trump attacking them will supply both.

As a bonus, it'll destabilize the tenuous alliances the US has in the region (except for Saudi Arabia, probably). While other regional governments might not like Hamas (at least publicly), no one will be happy with Trump getting violent in their backyard.. especially if he doesn't consult/coordinate with them in advance. What do you think the odds of Trump getting other countries input are?

He doesn't care who rallies against him. He's used to being hated and also likes chaos. He does plenty of things without consulting/coordinating with anyone. Consequences be damned.

I don't have the particulars, but it seems to me that Egypt stated that the last time they took refugees, it didn't work out for them. It may had something to do with Hamas showing up in their country. I can't remember exactly what it was.

trump is completely stupid to state an all or nothing bluster like that. He then leaves a back door for himself to skate if he gets the hostages killed. And, by now the whole world knows that he just wants to own Gaza for a trump resort. He has a lot of potential to have blood on his hands.

Plus, if he gets the cease fire killed, like he did the border deal here, he'll get to claim the credit for Biden's work. trump is an embarrassment. He's being played by Netanyahu. Netanyahu would like nothing better than to draw us into a Middle Eastern conflict. But, trump's ego overrides everything.
