American Bar Association Rips Trump And Musk In Scathing Statement For Acting 'Contrary to the Rule of Law'

Source: MEDIAite

Feb 10th, 2025, 5:43 pm

The American Bar Association slammed President Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s moves since taking office in a scathing statement on Monday.

William R. Bay, the president of the ABA, released the statement online and never mentioned Trump or Musk by name, but he clearly highlighted various actions each have made since January 20th. Bay began, “It has been three weeks since Inauguration Day. Most Americans recognize that newly elected leaders bring change. That is expected. But most Americans also expect that changes will take place in accordance with the rule of law and in an orderly manner that respects the lives of affected individuals and the work they have been asked to perform.”

“Instead, we see wide-scale affronts to the rule of law itself, such as attacks on constitutionally protected birthright citizenship, the dismantling of USAID, and the attempts to criminalize those who support lawful programs to eliminate bias and enhance diversity,” Bay continued, adding:

We have seen attempts at wholesale dismantling of departments and entities created by Congress without seeking the required congressional approval to change the law. There are efforts to dismiss employees with little regard for the law and protections they merit, and social media announcements that disparage and appear to be motivated by a desire to inflame without any stated factual basis. This is chaotic. It may appeal to a few. But it is wrong. And most Americans recognize it is wrong. It is also contrary to the rule of law.

The American Bar Association supports the rule of law. That means holding governments, including our own, accountable under law. We stand for a legal process that is orderly and fair. We have consistently urged the administrations of both parties to adhere to the rule of law. We stand in that familiar place again today. And we do not stand alone. Our courts stand for the rule of law as well.

I’ve been ranting about it all morning today.

Elleng, they might have a special retirement membership. Check it out. Unions have that because experienced members are valuable to the overall cause. It might even be a special rate.

Believe me when I say I've initiated more than a few of them.

Every state is different. You may not actually get them disbarred but man, can you cause them a world of grief.

was in the state of IL. I caused the poor bastard to put together a book of documents almost 2.5" thick. He had to go plead his case in person on numerous occasions. Cried the blues. Eventually he got out of it but I caused him around 3 years of misery and having his name plastered on the pending section of the state's legal site.

10. The Convicted Felon IS an Arch Criminal
Tue Feb 11, 2025, 08:31 AM
Feb 11

Its time that we, the media, and legal groups like the American Bar Association start framing the Convicted Felon in that term, Arch Criminal. An Arch Criminal not only commits crime, but enables others who think and behave as he does to commit crime for themselves or in his name.

There IS a reason why he repeatedly compared himself to Al Capone during last year's campaign. Its because he identifies more with Capone (who was most certainly an Arch Criminal) and Mafia mob bosses (who he admired when the Mafia families pretty much ran NY in the 1970s) than the 44 Americans who preceded him in the Oval Office.

When 77 million Americans decided to elevate an Arch Criminal to the highest office in the world, they, along with those who did not vote for the Arch Criminal, should NOT be shocked or surprised when the Arch Criminal and his cronies engage in overarching criminality.

Many in the House hold a law degree, it's the very nature of the job description.
Those who go along with the outlaws should be pre-emptively barred from practicing their side gig in all 50 states, and Canada too just in case..

I am glad that the ABA is getting involved. I have trouble seeing how any competent attorney can argue trump's crazy position.

In a blistering statement, the American Bar Association describes "attacks on constitutionally protected birthright citizenship, the dismantling of USAID and the attempts to criminalize" diversity initiatives as "wide-scale affronts to the rule of law itself."
