The acting head of the Social Security Administration admitted that he doesnt know exactly what the DOGE kids have been doing with Americans sensitive data, according to a bombshell audio recording.
An hour-long meeting last week led by the departments acting commissioner, Leland Dudek, was captured on an audio recording shared with ProPublica, where he repeatedly referred to young staffers at the Department of Government Efficiency as the DOGE kids, and confirmed they had broad access to Social Security numbers and personal data.
Addressing what DOGE staffers had been doing with Social Security data, Dudek reportedly asked at one point in the meeting: Are we going to break something? I dont know. But he added that he actually like[s] having the kids around despite them being unfamiliar with the nuances of the department. Theyre learning. Let people learn. Theyre going to make mistakes, Dudek reportedly said. Theyre thinking about work differently.
One of his deputies in the meeting added it was a victory that there was not more misinformation because the DOGE staffers are being educated. In a bid to reassure employees, Dudek reportedly said that if Elon Musks techies did anything illegal with Americans Social Security numbers or data, he would investigate and have them potentially prosecuted.

Yep, pretty suspicious that they can't even tell the Trump appointed administrator what they are doing. The "move fast and break things" DOGE are breaking lots of things that Americans count on. It could be intentional with malicious intent. Social Security Administration has data on everyone. SSN is the standard way of proving one's identity in the US. Think about how much financial and other records are tied to your SSN.

(3,883 posts)They have no security clearances they have no right to be reading and re-writing our Security Programs and breaking the Law. They are not elected or appointed or cleared by Congress. They ARE breaking the Law. They are ignoring our Constitution.. Why are they NOT BEING ARRESTED for their crimes? Elon cannot give his teenage bad-boys immunity.. so where is their immunity coming from? trump? the convicted felon who happens to be our insane and deeply compromised excuse for a president.
Who has given musk and his childish minions permission to be messing with and perhaps destroying our supposedly secure personal information? Social Security; Medicare; Medicaid; Starlink; FAA; and others. Why is it ok for them to be involved in Election Meddling, Undermining our Democracy, Interfering in our country's internal politics and for disrespecting the Rule of Law among many other crimes? They have no right to be doing whatever they are doing to this country - especially in secret.
Why can't they be arrested? Why can't Musk be arrested?.. he is breaking the law everyday..
