‘Chilling effect on free speech:’ Trump wants green card applicants already legally in the US to hand over social media profiles

Story by Rhian Lubin • 44m • 3 min read

The Trump administration’s proposal to vet social media profiles of green card applicants already legally in the U.S. has been condemned in initial public feedback as an attack on free speech.
..............................

USCIS said the vetting of social media accounts is necessary for “the enhanced identity verification, vetting and national security screening.”

The agency also said it was necessary to comply with Trump’s executive order titled “Protecting the United States from Foreign Terrorists and Other National Security and Public Safety Threats.”

Just gave made me think of his airplane--if it's true that he wants a fighter jet named after him--we should make bumper stickers with "F-47" and a middle finger or some other insulting gesture. It could be our "Let's go Brandon" wink wink sign.

This article doesn’t mention that it was supposedly random. The story o read said that that was DHS’s initial claim. DHS has, of course, came up with some new BS.

French scientist denied entry into U.S. over criticism of Trump's policies

https://www.livenowfox.com/news/french-scientist-denied-entry-us-trump-policies

Philippe Baptiste, the French minister for higher education, told the New York Times that the scientist was not allowed in the U.S. because his phone had message exchanges with coworkers and friends which offered his opinions on President Donald Trump’s scientific research policies.

According to the New York Times, McLaughlin said Thursday that the French scientist was in possession of confidential information on his electronic device, which she elaborated is a "violation of a nondisclosure agreement — something he admitted to taking without permission and attempted to conceal."

They want to punish everyone who speaks out against Fuhrer Felon. They may cut them off, cut them out, or jail them and use them as cheap labor.

Also everyone he released from prison that were convicted for crimes on January 6, 2020. Seems they might be the greatest security threats.

Don't kid yourself. Other dictators have done it. So will Trump. There is absolutely no reason for legal green-card holders to have to do anything. Green card holders?? Quite a bit far afield from illegal immigrants. Oh, I see, it's green card "applicants" already here. Sure.

We have to get rid of this guy. Forget 2026 and taking control of Congress. By the end of this year, we will be toast.

Unless, of course, we support the Judiciary that is fighting his crap. We have to do something. There should be some major class-action lawsuits by private law firms, or something.

But, the thought here is that this kind of thing is illegal and wrong and regardless of how useless social media seems to some of us, no one should have to bow to a weak-willed, intolerant bunch of crybabies who cannot do anything without setting up scapegoats first.

They have no right. That does not mean they care, but they do not.
