WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Donald Trump’s doctor says the oldest man elected president is “fully fit” to serve as commander in chief as the White House released results Sunday of Trump’s recent physical exam. The 78-year-old Trump is 20 pounds lighter since his checkup as president in 2020 showed him bordering on obesity.
His physician, Navy Capt. Sean Barbabella, cited an “active lifestyle” that ”continues to contribute significantly” to the Republican president’s well-being. Trump turns 79 on June 14.
In a three-page summary of the comprehensive exam from Friday, the doctor said Trump is “fully fit to execute the duties of Commander-in-Chief and Head of State.” Trump weighed 224 at the checkup, down from 244 at that physical more than four years ago.
His BMI, or body mass index, which is a measure of one’s weight relative to height, is down to 28.0, which drops Trump to the category of overweight. The president’s BMI came in at 30.5 in 2020, which pushed him just over the edge into the category of obesity.

It is the lowest number they could present as almost plausible. Sad that a Navy Captain is involved in this nonsense.

(4,771 posts)instead of his fantasy claim of 6 foot 3, then even if his weight was really only 224 (super highly unlikely), his BMI is 30.4 which makes him clinically obese.
using a more believable weight of 250, his BMI would be 33.9.

(6 posts)The man weighs more than 224 for sure. No way he is that weight. And did he pass a cognitive exam?
No way for that as well.

(2,937 posts)does show him to be more slender. Ozempic, no doubt, and I hope it has dire side effects. He said he passed the cognitive test, “answered every question right,” but does not remember any of the questions. Many more lies in the so-called results—misspellings that doctors would probably not use, a reference to his being fit because of winning so many golf trophies—really? a doctor considers that an indicator of health? The whole thing stinks of bullshit, not unlike the man himself.

I would be surprised if any dr was asking him these questions.
ShazzieB
(20,339 posts)Now whether this doctor gave him any such tests is a whole, separate question. Whether the doctor would release the results if they showed anything concerning is almost certainly a no.

(23,484 posts)Trump's lies are beyond pathetic.
In reality, he is a grossly obese 78-year old man who must have many health issues including high cholesterol, accelerated heart rate, high blood pressure, possibly an enlarged prostate, inevitable digestive problems (possibly caused by various drug abuses) and certainly cognitive decline. I'm certain he has other complications as well.
One look at the man shows clearly that his is a physical and mental mess.
But go ahead, Donny. Tell us that you're Superman. Your foolish followers believe everything you spew at them.

Who is this particular doctor, was the 'report' dictated to him beforehand, and was there a top floor open window near the doctor when he was told he could write his observations without fear or favor?
And can we interview previous doctors who said the same thing, in case they want to add something?
Harold Bornstein, Ronnie Jackson, anything to say?
Oops, Harold is no longer with us.

(21,015 posts)*Imho - Of course, he is a dangerous narcissist, which is a disorder, but he wouldn't have to be in cognitive decline to be an serious problem for most people here in the US, and around the world.
That he is in cognitive decline (like down a big roller coaster hill; has made it much more hortific for just about most of us! 😔. At times 😩😱 !

(2,806 posts)as he looks weak. No muscle mass, he lumbers when he walks and has skinny legs that can barely manage those shoe lifts.
And what's this "active lifestyle"? Riding around in a golf cart and getting in and out once in a while to swing a club? Sitting up all night bullshitting on his silly little SM app?
For the person upthread - 78 was "ancient" 100 years ago. Nowadays it's considerably younger IF a person keeps themselves in shape and has no serious health challenges. I know people older than that who are still running 10ks and doing long bike rides. Trump is NOT one of those people.
Never mind his cognitive status - well never MIND...he doesn't have one.
