Iran-linked hackers threaten to release Trump aides' emails

Source: Reuters

Iran-linked hackers have threatened to disclose more emails stolen from U.S. President Donald Trump's circle, after distributing a prior batch to the media ahead of the 2024 U.S. election.

In online chats with Reuters on Sunday and Monday, the hackers, who go by the pseudonym Robert, said they had roughly 100 gigabytes of emails from the accounts of White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, Trump lawyer Lindsey Halligan, Trump adviser Roger Stone and porn star-turned-Trump antagonist Stormy Daniels.

Robert raised the possibility of selling the material but otherwise did not provide details of their plans. The hackers did not describe the content of the emails.

The White House and the FBI responded with a statement from FBI Director Kash Patel, who said: "Anyone associated with any kind of breach of national security will be fully investigated and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."

Nationally or homeland because of the present control of our government where their only concerned is to steal as much money as possible from tax payers while leaving them high and dry.

...how that would make a difference, given the Supreme Court's decisions.

Even if the immunity doesn't fly (if every single part of the vote count tampering was while Trump was out of office)...last week's decision would make redress impossible.

In a sense, we've already lost the country -- as far as normal nonviolent procedures for controlling treason and correcting course go. That just hasn't sunk in yet.

If I'm missing something, please, please let me know.

And of course the GQP won't impeach.

Trump could publicly declare that he'd stolen the election, and all he'd have to say is that he did it for the good of the country, and that would be the end of it.

Except for a strongly-worded letter, maybe.

Even if they're released, Trump's accomplices will claim that the released emails are phony, the media will ask no follow up questions, and then they'll run a story about Joe Biden's age.
