Justice Department Told Trump in May That His Name Is Among Many in the Epstein Files

Source: wall street jounal

When Justice Department officials reviewed what Attorney General Pam Bondi called a “truckload” of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein earlier this year, they discovered that Donald Trump’s name appeared multiple times, according to senior administration officials.
In May, Bondi and her deputy informed the president at a meeting in the White House that his name was in the Epstein files, the officials said. Many other high-profile figures were also named, Trump was told. Being mentioned in the records isn’t a sign of wrongdoing.

I think the real money people thought they could control DT's presidency, but he got intoxicated by the power, and now he's way off script. Now they're trying to find a way to rein him back in, or turn the same people they lured into supporting him, away from him now.

Of these "files". Someone has copies(or direct knowledge of what they contain), or we wouldn't be hearing about any of this.

I'm thinking Elon, Ghislaine, Bill Barr, and maybe an unkown party or parties.

14. Maddow Blog-Justice Department reportedly told Trump in May that his name is in the Epstein files

A new Wall Street Journal report said the president's name "appeared multiple times" in the Jeffrey Epstein files — and he was told that during a briefing.

The new @wsj.com report said Trump's name appeared "multiple times" in the Epstein files — and the president was told that in a recent briefing.

So why did he suggest otherwise last week? www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddo...

https://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/maddowblog/doj-reportedly-told-trump-may-name-epstein-files-rcna220630

Nearly two months later, the tweet is gone, but the claim is relevant anew. The Wall Street Journal reported:

When Justice Department officials reviewed what Attorney General Pam Bondi called a ‘truckload’ of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein earlier this year, they discovered that Donald Trump’s name appeared multiple times, according to senior administration officials. In May, Bondi and her deputy informed the president at a meeting in the White House that his name was in the Epstein files, the officials said. Many other high-profile figures were also named, Trump was told.

.....What’s more, it was just last week when a reporter asked the president whether Attorney General Pam Bondi told him that his name appeared in the Epstein files. “No, no,” he responded.

Trump acknowledged at that point — I believe for the first time — that he’d received a personal briefing on this case, which was notable in its own right, but the exchange appears even more important now.

Indeed, if the president was briefed on the investigation and told that his name did appear in the files, it would raise new questions about why the Republican felt the need to lie to the public.

What’s more, three days after the president made those on-camera comments, NBC News also reported that Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin, relying on information from a protected FBI whistleblower disclosure, alleged that FBI personnel were instructed to “flag” any records that mentioned Trump as part of their handling of the Epstein files.

trump was caught in a lie and this story is only going to be fun to watch

Everyone should have known all along. They were photographed together many times, partying.

Were there actually people who thought he wasn't in the files? I don't get why MAGA pursued this at all, given all the public evidence.

...but I'm quite certain the proportion of repukes to Democrats in these files is at least 12 to 1. There's a reason Krasnov didn't release this earlier when he had the chance: it will destroy the GQP brand. Remember Dennis Hastert? Gym Jordan? Well, they weren't the only ones with a predilection for children.

All you need to know that we're on the right track is how Krasnov is squirming and misdirecting. If this were to his benefit he would have released it long ago!

Surely this is only becoming an issue because Trump and his toadies had been fluffing up the Epstein story for months during the campaign. I wonder if this would have been an issue for Trump if his flying monkeys hadn't worked up his base into a feeding frenzy. All of the allegations about rape, groping, and sexual assault that have surrounded Trump (and, say, a certain Supreme Court nominee) got pretty much zero traction in MAGA world.
