Trump again boasts he 'aced' cognitive tests - and reveals which animals he was required to identify

Source: The Independent

Saturday 20 December 2025 15:44 EST

President Donald Trump once again boasted about having “aced” three cognitive tests in wide-ranging remarks.

As concerns around the 79-year-old president’s health and mental fitness continue to mount — particularly after his rambling speech earlier this week, apparently falling asleep at several events including a Cabinet meeting, and his controversial Truth Social post about late filmmaker Rob Reiner — Trump reminded a North Carolina crowd on Friday that he’s “aced” several cognitive exams and is in “perfect health.”

“I did something no other president's ever done. I took cognitive tests because I know that and by the way, not easy,” Trump said in his Friday speech that was reportedly meant to focus on the economy.

He then took the opportunity to opine about how his predecessor, former President Joe Biden, would’ve performed on the mental fitness test: “You get to those last questions, those last 10, 15 questions…and I aced them. And no other president's taken a cog–... Could you imagine sleepy Joe taking a cognitive test?” The president then told the audience about the test, which apparently began with a question asking to identify animals.

Ask him to name one animal for each letter of the alphabet.

I bet he fails that cognitive test dismally!

It requires memory skills and keeping track of where you are in the alphabet.
Difficult for those with impaired cognitive skills.

simple cognitive tests...and yet, she couldn't draw a clock..a very big dementia "tell"...

my question to reporters (and I use the term "reporters" loosely because they do not report they entertain) is why do they not correct the "I passed the cognitive test" narrative with the definition of a cognitive test...a test where there is no pass/fail ...no attaboy, no gold star, no A+++++...a test that evaluates the brain function...thinking/memory/language... a test intended to spot mental impairment...

if liar Trump is somehow telling the truth as to the multitude of cognitive tests, then it's obvious to me his doctors are aware his dementia is incrementally worsening...

and it's also obvious the media is more concerned about access to that bloviating psychotic degenerate then informing the public...

The quotes are his words. They didn't clean up the grammar or complete the sentence fragments. They do a little sane washing around the quotes. But it's still better than what our news media does which is to quote him speaking with full sentences and proper grammar, which he never does.

So let's fix his dementia riddled grammar. The highlighted areas are My corrections: "I did something no other president('s should be removed) has ever done. I took a? several? some? cognitive tests because I know that (what? What does he know?) and by the way, it's not easy,”

The man has lost all ability to speak in complete sentences in proper grammar. It's like trying to translate the words of a child just learning to speak.

And this is just one group of sentence fragments in a 90 minute speech. He had 5 errors in that small thought he tried to express. It's exhausting trying to listen to the man because you have to constantly try to figure out what he is trying to say. And the country is being run by this addled fool who can't speak.

Over half of Americans read below a 6th-grade level. This is by design, specifically thanks to arseholes like the Koch brothers. (Check out the book The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America, which you can find for free on the Internet Archive.)

They are indeed pathetic, but they were cultivated to be so—stupid, gullible, and willing to be led.

They were trying to determine brain function as I was out for 9 minutes. I had the one in the video also. Drawing lines was the hardest since I had shakes from breathing treatments. They ran a number of video interactive tests to determine brain function and responses and reaction time. A lot of those were for driving. I can say they were shocked about reaction time, that it was well above the normal range. It was old muscle memory, from 40+ yrs of firearm qualifications hand/eye coordination exercises.

https://apnews.com/doctors-kept-close-eye-on-trumps-use-of-malaria-drug-0d70f7339bd492556d5b15adc7a001d4
Trump’s weight came in a 244 pounds. That gives him a Body Mass Index of 30.5, based on his 6-foot, 3-inch frame. An index rating of 30 is the level at which doctors consider someone to be obese. About 40 percent of Americans are obese.

There are other reports of trump weighing more

In my mom’s case she was diagnosed with Primary progressive aphasia”. But she still passed the cognitive test. So it’s not “super hard” as Trump maintains.

Later as my mom’s disease worsened she didn’t pass, but the only reason to take more than one cognitive test would be due to a concerning symptoms of dementia and to gauge any progression.
