For one thing T could have supported Ukraine monetarily with zero risk to U.s troops. Face it, the guy does not give one crap about US troops. I am greatly concerned about what he will get our people into. And of course as you say….which side will they be fighting for! I have a family full of military and retired military. 100% MAGA. At this point I wouldn’t trust any of them! The last to enlist has been a peacenik family renegade… he must have just cleared the high age limit and enlisted last month. My heart sank. He said he was headed to Texas for some kind of helicopter training…and that he had gotten exactly the job he asked for. Showed a photo in the air sitting with his legs out of the helicopter doors. God help him…he’s gonna need it!

He may say sending troops but really, they would be spies in the camp ....report back to Putin....may even sabotage Ukraine....it could go badly.

I find it hard to believe trump would even suggest that. Unless he plans to install our military in there so they can turn around and hand the country over to Putin. Or, maybe he sees this as the only way to get their minerals.

Maybe sending arms will seem like a compromise after considering sending troops.
Zelensky probably has studied how to manipulate Trump. Putin is not the only who can play that game.
The better comparison might be Mamdani. Trump can be beguiled in the moment by charismatic true geniuses.
Though I expect Putin will remind Trump what he owes.

Likely for Putin. If we were serious as a nation about taking it to Putin, it might make a difference. But given that Russia is a nuclear nation, this is a very dangerous game T**** is playing. I can easily see Putin pushing the button when he sees no way out.

I guess good on Zelensky for using it. Trump may have blurted it out during their meeting. With absolutely no discussion with anyone else. As a way to appease Z that he cares. With no intention of ever authorizing it.

Be consistent.

NOT ignore NATO countries and the interest they have in improving stability in the area.

Discuss things with Ukraine and Russia more.

Stop sending US troops overseas on a whim.

NOT start overseas conflicts on a whim.

If we start preparing for that, Putin will have nukes in Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela deployed.

And our troops will be targeted. Potentially setting WW3. Not to mention, the pee pee tapes will come out.

Trump probably made a back handed comment and people around him will tell him its not going to happen. Zelensky is probably using the remark just to get more military aid.

The best he can hope for is that Donny is bluffing. He'll never face Putin. Militarily, Donny is in Putin's hip pocket. Donny will do nothing to oppose Putin. Again, Zelenskyy is exposing Donny as the traitor he is. He expects Donny to turn his back on UKR and will appeal to Europe for more aid, which will likely happen. Donny is a player in name only.
