Trump admin to withdraw 700 federal officers from Minnesota: Homan

The Trump administration will draw down 700 federal law enforcement officers from Minnesota “effective immediately,” White House border czar Tom Homan said Wednesday. After that partial withdrawal, around 2,000 federal agents will remain in the state — a roughly 25% reduction — with most concentrated in the Twin Cities area encompassing Minneapolis and St. Paul, Homan said at a press conference in Minneapolis.

Homan announced the pullback after touting what he said was “unprecedented cooperation” between the federal government and state and local entities.

That cooperation boosts efficiency, requiring fewer officers to be sent into communities “to assume custody of a criminal alien target” and freeing up resources, Homan said. “More officers taking custody of criminal aliens directly from the jails, means less officers on the street doing criminal operations,” he said. “This is smart law enforcement, not less law enforcement.”

He repeatedly insisted the administration is “not surrendering” in Minneapolis, which has become a hotbed of civil unrest over the administration’s aggressive deportation tactics.

The vast majority of the non-local 2300 remaining will be gone before the end of the month.

the extra 1,000 or so they added after the Renee Good murder.

When they're all out of Minnesota, let me know.

Another attempt by TrumpCo. to make us believe they're actually drawing back. HA!

MN: It's a covert op now. ICE isn't going away. They are dressing to "fit in." .

Figured out that they aren't getting paid and have started to complain so they'll be sent home.

Or that's how many are quitting for a variety of reasons like the job sucks after all and they aren't getting paid and it isn't going to warm up any time soon.

I know he's leaving off the second half of the sentence. ".....to be sent to XXXX instead." Or something equally evil.
