I read a great book years ago about how during the Great Depression Oklahoma was the 6th poorest state in the nation. In the mid 1990s Oklahoma was still the 6th poorest state. If I recall correctly the book was Dancing With the Ghost of Tom Joad.

The prison camps are here to stay, as will be the expansion of these camps that has been going on since Trump was elected. You might see some improvement in conditions in the camps, and perhaps better medical care, but otherwise it'll be the same old same old.
