Hegseth and Rubio were 'at each other's throats' in tense argument over Iran plans, report says

Source: The Independent

Thursday 05 March 2026 10:08 EST

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Secretary of State Marco Rubio got into a heated exchange over Iran, according to a new report.

The pair were “at each other's throats” while discussing whether or not the U.S. should send troops to Iran at the request of Israel, sources told the Middle East Eye. Hegseth supports putting boots on the ground, while Rubio, the Trump administration’s top diplomat, is wary of dragging the U.S. into another drawn-out foreign war, sources said.

A former high-ranking member of the military told the outlet that Rubio is aware that the American public may strongly oppose putting U.S. service members in harm’s way. He also noted that Rubio has been bothered by Hegseth’s public remarks on the military operation.

The Pentagon referred The Independent to a statement by chief spokesman Sean Parnell on X which called the story "100% FAKE NEWS." A State Department spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

You get in there and personally do some on-the-ground reconnaissance and we’ll see how that goes.

Although they allow variances on occasion. David Robinson served on subs iirc.

Barron Trump is approximately 6 ft 9 in (2.06 m) tall. As of 2026, he is recognized for his significant height, often reported as being 6 ft 7 in to 6 ft 8 in by his father, but recent reports place him at 6 ft 9 in.

Welp, if he wanted to he could probably apply for a waiver. Of course, he would never do that because his old man would think he was a loser and a sucker.

There ain’t no plan, nor semblance of a concept.

The journalist writing this needs to be fired for hinting that this Mis-Administration has some ability to analyze data and come up with a coherent thought process that can play out more than 20 minutes before someone else contradicts what was previously communicated. We are so doomed.

The reason is simple: Kegsbreath and his Talabaptist Nationalists believe that this war is the beginning of Armageddon, as "forecast" in the Book of Revelations, based on the "visions' seen by a ranting schizophrenic that was canonized so they could use his ravings as justification for the Crusades, while Rubio doesn't believe that shit and is concerned about the politics and the mid-terms.

In the GOP Rubio passes as an intellectual, and that's a major disadvantage.
