In a state known for razon-thin elections, liberals once again won a Wisconsin Supreme Court election by a resounding margin. Chris Taylor's victory Tuesday marked the fourth consecutive state Supreme Court victory for a liberal-backed candidate.
Decision Desk HQ called the race for Taylor at 8:30 p.m.
Taylor's win over the conservative-backed Maria Lazar gave liberals a 5-2 majority on Wisconsin's high court. The results also ensure liberals will have a state Supreme Court majority until at least 2030.
While Wisconsin's judicial races are nonpartisan on paper, they are far from that in reality.

(10,730 posts)So happy. It feels like things are shifting in Wisconsin for the first time since 2010 and the Tea Party takeover.

(18,866 posts)Ozaukee is one of the WOW counties of Waukesha/Ozaukee/Washington. They have reliably voted red for decades.
Not tonight.
Taylors opponent is from Waukesha County and only got a single digit lead there.
Dane County, which oozes blue, was an 84-16% blowout.

(8,026 posts)Hubby and I voted for her today. (Big progress for hubby, because he voted for Dump's first gig, UGH!. Before he retired, he listened to the deep red thoughts of the knuckle-dragging mouth-breathers he worked with. After he retired, I was able to turn him towards the truth.)
We in Wisconsin need to keep up the pressure on the damned conservatives that snuck in and took over our beautiful state. It used to be SO beautiful here and we're getting it back again.
GO LIBERALS, GO DEMS!!
