Major outlets change standards for hacked emails, protect Trump
For weeks, major American media organizations including The Washington Post, Politico, and the New York Times have possessed internal Trump campaign documents. What do these documents say? We don't know because all three outlets have declined to publish the documents or excerpt a single sentence.
None of the outlets even acknowledged that they had been sent the internal documents until after the Trump campaign publicized that it had been hacked by the Iranian government. Little has been revealed about the topics covered in the documents other than that they include a dossier exploring the vulnerabilities of Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH), who former President Donald Trump chose as his running mate.
Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung demanded the media keep the internal documents secret. "[A]ny media or news outlet reprinting documents or internal communications are doing the bidding of Americas enemies and doing exactly what they want," Cheung said in anhttps://popular.info/p/major-outlets-change-standards-for August 10 statement.

(11,814 posts)I was hoping that whoever leaked the documents would send them to someone willing to publish them. It is certainly in the public interest for voters to know about Vance and his past behavior and actions that could affect him as VP and potentially as president since Trump could be in assisted care for dementia before any term would end.

(4,325 posts)They railed day after day over every hacked email of the Democrats when Hillary was running. Nothing was too demeaning or too low to print, many with comment underneath it.
That they refuse to do the same to T just shows not only how far into the can they are for T, but also how scared, mealy-mouthed they actually are. No way should they call themselves Americans, let alone Patriots. In fact, people like Murdoch should be deported for the bad faith and bad works he's done to the U.S. If we'd get serious with these people, they could change. But we've let them get away with it for so long, they're like trump -- feeling they're totally above the law.
