If it hadn't been crossed before, there was a line crossed at MSG today.

https://signalpress.blogspot.com/2024/10/to-those-evangelicals-who-lurk-and-read.html

There's been a litany of things said, actions taken, statements made and behavior coming out of all of the Trump campaign that has clearly identified both the candidate, and those who are in his campaign, and potentially in his administration, who are clearly, openly and in some cases defiantly anti-Christian. This is so visible, it is impossible to look at what is happening and not draw the conclusion that those who continue to support him share his racist, anti-Christian, anti-American, fascist views and attitude.

Casting a ballot for him and demonstrating support for him destroys any Christian testimony. Even secretly, in the ballot box, support for this man fits the definition of the spirit of the anti-Christ found in I John 4:2-3.

The vulgarity and open racism, bigotry and hatred that filled Madison Square Garden today, the Lord's day, was open blasphemy toward God. People who claim to be followers of Christ, and yet still participate in, and support that, are kidding themselves. They've been deceived by evil, masquerading as an angel of light.

It is not possible to support Trump and claim to be a follower of Jesus Christ. The two things are diametrically opposite each other. So make your choice. Stick with Trump and abandon Christ.

And live with it.

Christian Nationalism and the Christian faith are utterly incompatible.

And we need to do a better job of condemning the former while being very clear we are not condemning the latter.

But the fact of the matter is that Christianity is the single most pervasive philosophical foundation of western civilization, and as such, the very core values of progressive liberalism rest on its perspective of the value of human life, and human equality. Judaism actually introduced those values into the pagan world, but Jesus based his philosophical foundation on a perfecting of the ideology. The idea of human equality and basic human rights codified in the Constitution is taken from the Christian gospel.

The conservative, Evangelical "faith" full of prejudice, bigotry, mysticism and folk religion that centers itself in extremist right wing politics is utter bullshit. It will make excuses for this vulgarity and hatred, which betrays is convictions.

show me a religion that doesnt expound virtually the same moral code.
and guess what- a whoooole lot of atheists hold the same moral code.

but seeing who it is fucking children more often than not, xtians care less about that moral code than 90% of ppl of any or no faith.
delusion is always dangerous.

They had a huge rally at MSG and NOBODY is even talking about Trump. Was he even there? No way they invite that comedian back, the racism is ok but he upstaged orange hitler!
