Today's Tiedrich rant: the NY Times is now sanewashing the greedy billionaires who are ripping us off

here’s the scariest sentence in the English language:

“I’m a billionaire, and I’m here to help.”

the fucktangle of oligarchs who Donald Trump has named to his Confederacy of Sewer Clowns are not our friends. oh, these sociopathic shitbags will flash their million-dollar smiles at you as they spin their fantasies of how they’re going to run America like a business, and how amazing it’s going to be for everyone once they’ve cut all the fat out of the budget — but never forget that it’s all a bullshit lie. these greedy bastards have come to Washington to fatten their own wallets, at our expense.

the first thing they’re going to do is steal everything that’s not nailed down, sell it off, and pocket the profits. then they’re going to bring in crowbars so they can pry up everything that is nailed down, and steal all that shit, too. and while all this pilferage is going on, they’re going to lie right in your face and claim it’s all in the name of ‘improving the efficiency of government services.’

... now I wouldn't wipe my ass with it.
It's just as Einstein said, Eventually, wealthy conservatives will own all the media, then no one will be able to have an informed opinion of anything, because all they'll be fed are lies. Or words to that effect.
And the room-temperature IQs will sing the praises of their executioners even as they are led to the slaughter.

may actually be what I find most frightening.

Deregulation and failure to regulate are the single biggest causes of the S&L crisis, the 2008 Great Financial Crash losses, the consolidation of media ownership, etc. etc.

We already live in a looting economy; I can't imagine how the harms to our pocketbooks, our health, and our planetary ecology might accelerate with further deregulation.
