Imperialist Donald Trump goes full George W. Bush in Venezuela for the oil, illegally seizing its dictator and vowing

regime change

Donald Trump tore down whatever was left of his “America First” façade today by significantly escalating his undeclared war with the South American country of Venezuela with the beginning of a regime change power play that has shocked many in the world community, though perhaps not as many people in Venezuela, who seem to have been expecting an imminent strike by the United States.

U.S. military special forces bombed and then swooped into a military base near Caracas to seize Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro and his wife, who were then taken to the USS Iwo Jima for transport to New York. Trump subsequently posted a photo of Maduro while gloating about the operation, conducted without congressional authorization.

Trump admitted that his interest in Venezuela has to do with its huge oil reserves.
