....then at the end they take questions. Why is no one out in the audience with a microphone so the press questions can be amplified through the sound system. Then the public does not have to listen to faint mumbling in the background while the question is being asked. No matter how hard you listen you often only get 1/3 of the total question. Amplify the voice of the questioner from the media so we can hear the question loud and clear.

Whenever Pelosi gave a press conference it was the very same problem. The public can not hear the question being asked looking for more details or clarifications at the tail end of the news conference.

It makes for a frustrating and bad press conference. Where very little effort could be made to remedy the situation and permit the public to hear the question. But it is just not worth the little extra effort to better include the public by amplifying the media questions through the sound system already in place. Have a House page run around in the audience with a live microphone to help amplify the questions being asked - loud and clear for all to hear

The Democrats are really missing the boat on this one. They are leaving the public in the dark at these news conferences. The irony being, news conferences are presented to better inform and include the public in the minutiae and sausage making process of governance.

At these Demo press conferences you can see government in action,.. you just can't hear the most important and vital parts. Where the media has an opportunity to present questions on behalf of the public.

Demos should do better than this. Take it up a notch - kicking open the door a little wider for inclusiveness of the general public. Permitting them to hear the press questions at the end of a news conference. Inclusiveness is the reason and very definition of the Democratic Party anyways. Exclusivity is the hallmark of the GOP, but does not reflect our intents, ambitions, interests, or goals.

It wouldn't take much for the questioner to step up to a microphone or for getting someone equipped with a microphone to step into the audience for those asking the questions.

Let's see how he responds to it.

And not just so the audience can hear what's being asked, but, more important, also for the individual holding the press conference.
