They Attacked America & Got Away With It Now They're After Congress - Thom Hartmann

America is in chaos…largely because neither Schumer in the Senate nor Garland at the DOJ saw fit to investigate & prosecute the accomplices of Trump and Putin in the congress. These accomplices were involved in the planning & executing of the January 6th insurrection that culminated with an attack on the Capital. Had they been properly investigated, outed, prosecuted and removed from Congress we would almost certainly not be here now. - Aired on 10/04/2023.

I usually check out Bloomberg website fir $$$ info. I see he has written a commentary stating Dems share blame for Speaker fiasco. Didn't read it (behind paywall) but the title says it all.

Hate to be dark but we are headed for a very horrific time in the US. When educated intelligent people like Bloomberg can't see what the GOP is then I see very little hope for democracy and freedom.

Any lack of enforcing accountability is seen as weakness and exploited by the Republicans without exception.

I would like to ask Mr. Hartmann (and the other blame addicts as well), where is your evidence that were all of your proposed targets investigated, there would be sufficient grounds for their impeachment or indictments? And where is your evidence that even if there were grounds, it would have lead to successful trial outcomes? And even if there were successful trial outcomes, where is the evidence that these targets would not be replaced by even less effective and more belligerent offenders?

Who is voting these people in to become lawmakers in the first place? They all come from constituencies infested with MAGAts. Does Mr. Hartmann really think that impeachments or convictions of these traitors will bring about changes in Congress? Well, they may, but Mr. Hartmann ain't gonna like these changes, for sure.

Hartmann blames because he can. No sweat off his... temples. He reveals nothing. He proposes no real solutions, which are obvious: to change the composition of Congress, change voting patterns in swing states.

Vote. Don't get distracted by salaried pundits.
