these were done years ago. The GOP keep tabs on each other, compiling all the dirt. Then, if and when a member becomes too toxic, they reveal the dirt and smear the person until they resign or forced out.

Reagan's 11th commandment, "Thou shall not speak ill of fellow Republicans" meant to keep those dirt hidden until absolutely necessary. And boy, do they have dirt on everyone. I believe the only way to gain acceptance among the GOP is to reveal what dirt one has; literally send a resume of dirt to the powers that be before being granted entry to the GOP.
